FIELD Brighton welcomes seven new start ups

We’ve spent months transforming a former rifle range into a new home for Brighton’s most exciting start-ups. FIELD Brighton is a temporary project that’s part of our Preston Barracks regeneration scheme.

The budding entrepreneurs will have access to free workspace and studio space to help them to develop and bring their products to market.

This is an important first step in the longer-term regeneration of the site, helping to incubate businesses that may take space in the final development.

After a tough selection process, we are delighted to announce the first intake of seven Brighton and Hove based start–ups will be joining our community at FIELD. They were selected based on their use of innovation in their design or manufacturing process and their new approaches to their fields of sustainability, technology and design.

In addition to the new workshop spaces, FIELD will also provide a collaborative home for some of Brighton's established initiatives and organisations. These include The Wood Store, a reclaimed wood furniture maker and recycling enterprise, zero waste drinks producer Old Tree, the botanical brewery, as well as Community 21, who are working on the Place-Maker-Space project, an urban laboratory and workshop for envisioning and making better places.
