Lift off for development plans at Harwell

We’re excited to announce that planning has been approved today for two new buildings on our scheme at Harwell Campus near Oxford.

Construction is due to begin this month on Genesis, a new digital, design and manufacturing building that will house 33,300 sq ft of engineering space, laboratories and offices as well as providing additional workspace for the thriving space cluster at Harwell Campus. Due to complete in Summer 2016, the new building has already begun to attract businesses both locally and from further afield.

The second new building, The Quad, will provide businesses with cutting edge collaborative workspaces and access to the Campus’ expanding science research facilities. Harwell Campus is unrivalled in the UK for its concentration of science research and development facilities available to multinationals, academics and start-ups.

As part of Harwell Oxford Partners, we’re working to accelerate the commercial development of the 700 acre science campus with a research and development focus. This will include state of the art buildings for commercial science agencies and research bodies within a new mixed-use community including several hundred homes.
