The Future Works Slough
The Future Works marks a step-change in the quality of office space in Slough.
With exceptional facilities, including a show-stopping communal roof terrace and a spectrum of workspaces, it will provide a new business hub for both entrepreneurs and corporates in this rapidly evolving town.
The Future Works is the first phase of a £230 million investment in Slough and provides 100,000 sq. ft. of Grade A office space over eight floors in a striking building designed by award-winning architects Sheppard Robson. It has a BREEAM environmental and sustainability rating of ‘Excellent’, WiredCertified Platinum for its connectivity and digital infrastructure and is the first building in the UK to achieve a Platinum AirScore rating, highlighting exceptional air quality. In total, the three-phase regeneration project will create 350,000 sq. ft. of new office accommodation.
Located next to the town’s contemporary new bus station, The Future Works is moments from Slough rail station, which connects to London Paddington in 14 minutes and will welcome the Elizabeth Line with journey times of only 32 minutes to Bond Street.
Funded by AshbyCapital, the first phase, No2 The Future Works, was completed in May 2018 and incorporates a double-height feature entrance foyer, flexible floorplates of up to 14,800 sq. ft., secure basement parking (including electric car charging spaces), and extensive facilities for cyclists and runners such as bicycle parking, luxurious changing rooms with towel service, and changing facilities. The development also includes two spectacular west-facing roof terraces on the top two floors and views of Windsor Castle.
Slough is an established destination for businesses and The Future Works is in excellent company, a stone’s throw from some of the world’s biggest brands and blue chip companies, including O2, Fiat, Stanley Black & Decker, Akzo Nobel, Reckitt Benckiser and Lego.
Clarendon, the provider of serviced offices and co-working space, has taken the ground and first floors at The Future Works, and has now completed its fit out to open Slough’s first high-quality flexible workspace.
We’re proud to have delivered a flexible and inspiring place where creativity can thrive. This forms the first phase of the wider £450 million Heart of Slough regeneration project that will transform this gateway to Slough with new offices, retail and public realm, creating not just spaces in which to work, but places where people will want to be, generating lasting demand and bringing new life to the area.
